By, now you must have seen loads of pictures, of people wearing a Bubble Face Mask. If you haven’t, where have you been hiding? Seriously, they have been everywhere! Anyway, they look hilarious, but what do they actually do? It’s a good question, and one, I’ve decided to find the answer to.
If you are a beauty fan, you won’t be surprised to hear that the bubble face mask, started its life in Korea! These masks can come in the form of a beauty clay, or in the form of a sheet mask. The bubble action of these faces masks is supposed to help put all the active ingredients, to good use. I’ve seen some before, during and afters of these bubble masks, and agree they look like they do good. But, how can you really judge these bubble face masks, without trying them out yourself?
Which is why I decided to give a Bubble Face Mask a go!
I honestly, couldn’t find a bubble face mask in the shops, not even Superdrug! So, I decided to go with a bubble sheet mask, that I received in a good bag, a few months ago. The mask I tried is the Beauty Pro Detoxifying Foaming Cleansing Mask with Activated Charcoal. Which I believe you can buy online. I really wanted to try a beauty clay version of the bubble face mask, but sometimes, you have to with what you have available.
First things First, the Beauty Pro face mask, looks like something out of a horror film! That is even without it foaming or bubbling. It’s not even a full face one, it’s kind of like a beard, with a nose protector.
You are supposed to leave it on for 10 minutes, but the bubble action started as soon as I put it on my face. Even though it’s a sheet mask, you can still feel a slight fizzing sensation on your skin. After 5 minutes, I had a fuzzy beard going on, but mainly on one side of my face.
During the 10 minutes, my hubby decided it was a good time, to try and make me laugh. He said I looked like a weird bubble leprechaun, and it worked, he made me laugh! Which in turn made the face mask slip down my face… The bubbles nearly went into my mouth.
Once the 10 minutes were up, I didn’t feel like I had foamed up enough, and I was looking patchy. So I left it on for another 5 minutes. By 15 minutes, I had got bored, and the face mask started to smell slightly, so it was about time I took it off!
My overall review of the Beauty Pro Detoxifying Foaming Cleansing Mask is…
It was fun, although slightly disappointing, as one side of my face bubbled more than the other. Do I think it made any noticeable changes? Sort of, my skin did look clearer, especially my nose, but I think you need to use it regularly, to see a major change in skin condition.
Would I buy this bubble face mask again?
Yes, because I plan on using it as my Halloween get up for this year, to scare little children with my bubbly beard!
Now, I’m off to order the beauty clay version of the bubble face mask, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
P.S. I would love to hear about your experience using a bubble face mask, leave your review in the comments!
